I've decided (since me and my now ex-fiance) have decided to split and follow Christ much more closely than before, that if and when I ever date again, there will be some new rules I will follow.
1. The only time we will ever touch, kiss, hold hands (except for prayer), or any other thing close to those, will be wedding day and afterward.
Reason - 1 Corinthians 7:1-2 : Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me. It is good for a man not to touch a woman. Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
Laugh if you want, but I will follow this. I don't want the slightest chance of slipping into temptation to ever be present.
2. She must understand that Jesus is #1 in my life.
Reason - He is the very reason I exist. He is the one who saved my soul from the pits of hell. He bore my sins upon a cross after being beaten worse than any other man (Isaiah 52:14). It should be obvious why this is important to me.
3. KJV only.
Reason - I don't accept any other version as the true and pure word of God for the English-speaking people. Call me stubborn, but this (along with the others on here) is a must.
4. I am a preacher, it won't always be easy.
Reason - God called me to preach His word, and because of this, I will not always be popular. I don't mind this one bit. At the same time, those who would not try to tear me down will almost always come after her. I will be there to defend against such slander though.
Just a few things that have came to mind. I know there are more than these but this is what I have on my mind right now.
All honor and glory to the Lord.
Amen

The misunderstood Holy Spirit
Nowadays, with churches slipping farther and farther into apostasy in this Laodicean age that we are in now, there has been a movement now to emphasize "spirit worship" or "spirit teaching" or whatever they call it. This same movement is the one that is putting out the "healing" ministries, the "motivational speaking" movement, and the "ecumenical" movement as well. It's basically a turn from fundamental Bible teaching. It's where people, claiming to be moved by the Holy Spirit of God, are supposedly performing "miracles" in the name of Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 11:13-15 - For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
Not everyone that gets up and claims to be filled with the Holy Spirit of God always is. Just because they can babble an insane conglomerate of "words" does not mean that they're full of the Holy Ghost. Just because someone saw them "heal" someone by smacking them in the forehead and they fall to the ground and act like they're having a seizure and get up and proclaim health means it actually happened.
There seems to be an over-importance in these "miracles" at these gatherings and such nowadays. From that verse I placed up there, you can see that Satan has power as well. To make it look "just right" and appealing enough to get someone sucked into this stuff. He has power, a lot of it. It was the devil that gave the Egyptian magicians power to duplicate what Moses and Aaron did (Exodus 7-9) all the way up to creation (for God is the only creator [John 1:3]).
Another reason people should stay away from these false teachers (if they teach that Christ is not fully God, and all the basic doctrines of the Bible as they are, or don't even open a Bible, claim to have heard a different gospel from an angel [Galatians 1:8-9], or anything that goes against the Bible) is because "miracle working" that is mentioned in Revelation 13:11-15 is what deceived many into worshiping the image because of the miracle that was performed. And because of the miracle, you see their downfall (Revelation 13:16-18).
(See also 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12)
See why I'm concerned? See why I do not agree with any teaching that goes against scripture? There is a way to tell whether or not you are to trust a minister that stands and preaches or teaches. It's one of the reasons God gave you an Authorized King James Bible :
1 John 4:1-3 - Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
Take your Bible and compare it to what they say/preach/teach. If they do not line up with the Bible, they are not to be trusted.
Colossians 2:9 - For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
All honor and glory to the Lord

It's not BK, It's the Word of God. You can't just pick and choose.
It seems nowadays that you can have whatever view on the Bible that you want and still say you're fine. Lots of churches are turning liberal and moving away from true Christianity because they have started "downsizing" the importance of the Word of God. It is quite important (Psalm 138:2). As a test, see what you think about these 2 verses :
Leviticus 18:22 - Thou shalt not lie with mankind as with womankind: it is abomination.
Leviticus 18:23 - Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down therero: it is confusion.
If the Bible is your final authority, both of these are abominable sins. The text does not say that one is an abomination and the other is decent and acceptable. From seeing what's going on in America today, it seems that we've went ahead and made it OK to go against verse 22, and that verse 23 is still bad. All of it is still sin according to God who authored the book.
From the Bible point of view, the 2 homosexuals having sex with each other is just as much a sin as someone having sex with an animal. It's what the Bible says, plain and clear. But, like I said in the previous paragraph, it seems everyone now wants to throw the Bible out because of verse 22 and still say verse 23 is bad. They're both sin and that will not change. This type of thinking is an abomination unto God (Proverbs 11:1). It is a false balance to take one verse and say it does not matter out of the entire Bible. It's all or nothing.
Leviticus 18:30 - Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am the LORD your God.
All honor and glory to the Lord
Amen

Go ahead, you be the judge
You've heard it before, "Don't judge me" or "You're being judgmental" from someone before. The usual answer from someone when the issue you're discussing is sin and they are backed into a corner and know they're in the wrong. Sometimes the instance is not always an honest biblical discussion on sin and in that case they are correct. But, with the Bible as a final authority, you need to know that there is an honest difference between being judgmental (in a negative sense) and holding to the truth and not moving from it.
First, the scriptures :
[1]1 Timothy 5:20 - Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.
[2]2 Timothy 4:2 - Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
[3]Titus 1:13 - This witness is true. Wherefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in faith;
[4]Titus 2:15 - These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
[5]1 Thessalonians 5:21 - Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
[6]Matthew 7:1-2 - Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
[7]James 2:8 - If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:
With all this kept in mind, lets focus on the main idea here. Judging according to self is wrong, you have to stick to biblical principles when dealing with sin. You cannot have personal opinions that are contradictory to scripture. Biblical truths are still biblical truths no matter what the situation is. You are to stick to these biblical truths in all situations.
So, lets establish some guidelines.
*Without love for the brethren[7], you are not to even try to counsel someone who may be dealing with sin[6].
*Sin is a serious issue that has to be dealt with head on[5]. But issues have to be dealt with according to the Bible with a desire to help them[2].
*Sin is not to be condoned, ever[1]. Sometimes it is not always the nicest or easiest thing to do but it must be done [3,4].
I'm not going to go into vast detail here because it is not necessary. I can sum all this up in one statement (not to detract from the Bible) : If you truly love the brethren, you will not condone their sin but you will deal with it according to the Bible. This is done with sincere care and love for the person because you do not want them to fall into a pit that will draw them away from Christ, church, or the work they are doing for God, and start following after things of the world. You are also to take hold of Bible doctrine and stand firm upon it's truth and not be moved from it.
All honor and glory to the Lord
Amen

Six Hearts Of The Bible
Recently while listening to a Maze Jackson sermon, I heard him mention the fact that there are 6 hearts of the Bible, parts of scripture that define it as a whole. While I'm not going to mirror what he believed they were to the exact same verse, I do believe there are indeed 6 literal hearts to the Bible.
Old Testament
1: (Pentateuch/Law) - Leviticus 17:11
For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.
It was always blood made as an offering that would pay the price for sin. As it says here, "for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul".
2: (Writings - History/Poetry) - Psalm 22:1
My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?
This psalm prophetically speaks of the crucifixion. It mentions that Christ will literally be forsaken by God his father upon the cross.
3: (Prophecy) - Isaiah 53:5
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
This chapter of Isaiah speaks of the payment of sin that was made upon the cross at Calvary. We were all born sinners, and it says in this very verse that he took the punishment for the sins of the entire world on that cross.
New Testament
4: (Gospels) - John 3:14
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
When the people following Moses through the wilderness sinned by complaining (Numbers 21), God sent fiery serpents among them to bite them. Then a serpent of brass was made so that anyone that came by could literally "look and live". When Christ was crucified, he was lifted up on the hill for everyone to see, so that anyone who would "look" could have the chance to eternally live.
5: (Epistles) - 1 Peter 1:19
But with the precious blood of Christ, as a lamb without blemish and without spot.
The blood that Christ shed is the key to redemption from sin. It was that blood that was applied to your heart and covered every sin of your life when you were born again. Nothing but the blood of Christ can ever redeem you from your sins.
6: Revelation - Revelation 1:5
And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
Once again, we see the it was the blood of Jesus that cleanses us from our sins. He loved us enough to shed that precious blood.
You see now that the message of the entire Bible is simply this, "Jesus loves you, he died for you, he wants to save you, and his blood is the ONLY way you will get that salvation and go to heaven". That's why I do not like bibles that take out the blood, even once. That's why I do not support any of these "preachers" that preach any other gospel that takes out the blood or says there is more than one way to get to heaven. You cannot be saved by any other "Jesus" that someone preaches. It is only by the one that was begotten of the Father, that took on a robe of flesh, took our sins and nailed them to an old rugged cross, was resurrected on the third day, and went back to heaven to make intercession for us here on earth.
My friend, none other than Jesus was ever given authority (Acts 4:10-12) to grant us this divine salvation. He paid it all and finished the deal (John 19:30) for all sin-debt of the world. Please don't become one of those that believe that what you do will get you to heaven (ex. Matthew 7:22-23), cause you will not make it that way (Matthew 7:24). Jesus is the only way (John 14:6).
1 Corinthians 15:1 - Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
All honor and glory to the Lord
Amen

Planned Parenthood...you're kidding me right?
First off, I'm not doing this so I can get any bit of political following (I don't want that anyway). I believe the BIBLE. That's where I stand and I will not be moved from that. It's a saddening thought when we grow up in a society that has literally become so far gone when it comes to things like this. It's even worse that there are those that promote these kind of things.
I also want to say before I even discuss this that I honestly have no hatred toward any person that takes part in anything I'm about to mention. But it breaks my heart to see things like this.
I'm not for abortion, not at all. I never will be. I honestly believe that children are a gift from God. I'm not going to bomb an abortion clinic, or hunt down the doctors that work there, but I will be praying for them.
This group, called Planned Parenthood, is simply not right. I don't know of any word that I can use to explain how un-biblical and wrong what they promote is. First off, they're OK with homosexuality, even though the Bible declares it an abominable sin. Note that I said it's an abominable SIN, I did not say the person them self is an abomination because I do believe that there is a chance that they can be saved and turn from that wicked sin. But I wanted to discuss what the Bible says in regards to abortion.
Jeremiah 1:4-5 - Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
Psalm 139:13-16 - For thou has possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being imperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
God knew every one on this earth before we were ever thought of by our parents. We were formed in the image of him. We are literally deciding when an abortion is done that "OK, this one shouldn't live long enough to see what God has planned for it". Cold thought isn't it? There is NO EXCUSE for an abortion. Nobody should have the authority to decide if a child lives or dies. Just remember that EVERY LIFE is a gift from God. NOT YOU, from God.
Here's their take on it :
If you're pregnant unplanned (most likely fornicating outside of marriage, which is sin), you've got 3 options. Abortion (NO), adoption (OK), and parenting (OK).
On their list of birth control, waiting until you're married and ready is not on there.
On their description of their methods they indicate that some methods require them to be sure of "fetal demise" before the procedure is complete. I should not have to explain what this means.
Not anywhere on this site did I see anything on here pushing for the rights of the child. At 4 weeks fetal age, the baby has a heartbeat. 6 weeks in you can hear the heartbeat of a little life that should get the chance to live and not become a statistic of what is going on every day around the world. Before you get mad at me and try to make some ridiculous "pro-choice" comment, think of this : What if you were aborted? What if you never got the chance? Sure you would be in heaven, but that wouldn't be the way I would choose to go. I did plan on getting a little rough in this post with those that have abortions just to get out of the pregnancy and get back in bed with someone but I'm not. I'm thankful right now that I am alive, saved, and will be praying that this may just get to someone on the verge of making that call, ending that life, and then having regrets afterward. I'm not being political with this one bit because I honestly believe that children are God's greatest gift outside of salvation from an eternity in hell.
After all, it was God's CHOICE to give LIFE to it in the first place. It doesn't happen every time.
All honor and glory to the Lord
Amen

The Beautiful Romans Road
When it comes to leading someone to the Lord, many things come to the mind. What to say, where to show them in the Bible, and just what to do in general. If you're led to pray with someone under conviction and they need to be saved, these verses will greatly help you. If you feel led of the Spirit, you can expound on these as you say them.
Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
Romans 5:8 - But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 6:23 - For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 10:9 - That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
AND/OR
Romans 10:13 - For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Just a few verses to mark in your bible and hide in your heart!
All honor and glory to the Lord
Amen
