The Rejected Gospel

The first weekend in September I was in Wal Mart and God pressed it on my heart to give a gospel tract out to a group of people in the store. So I walked up to a group of 3 people and asked them if they'd like a gospel tract. After they noticed that the front of it said "This could be your last 5 minutes alive", their mouths dropped open like I was handing them an explosive or something. Needless to say, they all said no quite quickly.

It's not like I am handing them a letter of hatred or evil. That could have verily been their key to heaven and they decided to say no. It could have been the best day of their life and they opted out. I've even had saved people (I don't know the heart, but only know their testimony) accept a tract that will probably pass it on to someone else that is lost.

Matthew 10:14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.

The gospel was presented. They had a chance to have the gospel given to them, straight to the point of salvation, through a gospel tract. But since they said no, their blood will be upon their own hands because they turned away the warning (Ezekiel 33:1-6).

Matthew 10:15 Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgement, than for that city.

It is more tolerable for a city that sinned against God (Genesis 19), who grieved God with their sin, to the point that He destroyed the city with fire and brimstone, than it is for a city (most likely even a person as well) who rejected hearing the simple truths of the glorious gospel. That's pretty strong words for rejecting a presentation of the gospel.

I'm not sure why I was moved to post this. It may be as motivation for those who pass out tracts to see more people saved through passing out tracts, knocking on doors, preaching the word, and etc.

New Convictions Part 2

After hearing some wonderful messages this week, I have decided that I need to make a few things known about my convictions. Just 2 more to add here, maybe even some more later.

1. She will be very important to me. I know that if I was to find anyone who truly loves Jesus like I do, she is a true gem and will be treated as one.

Reason - Proverbs 31:10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies

2. If and when I am to get married, it will only be to a lady who truly puts Jesus before me in everything she does. I want her to love Jesus more than me because I also love Christ above all.

Reason - Proverbs 18:22 Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.

Just a few more to add to my list :)

All honor and glory to the Lord

What You're Really Saying With A Tattoo

First off, I have to admit to this. I have 1 tattoo and I got it prior to finding all this out. I am going to be looking into having it removed soon possibly but I want to share this as well. I know that many will differ on my view here but I just want to follow the Bible and what it says.

Leviticus 19:28 Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.

"Cuttings in your flesh" and "print any marks upon you". I believe it is clear in the Bible from this one verse that we are not to cut into ourselves, no matter what it is honoring. One thing I've noticed about a good part of the "law" is that anything stated in the law books (notably in the moral code), that is still to be followed.

1 Kings 18:28 And they cried aloud, and cut themselves after their manner with knives and lancets, till the blood gushed out upon them.

"Cut themselves". With this story of Elijah and the prophets of Baal, The form of worship that they employed to try to "awaken" their phony god, was cutting themselves (bloodletting/tattooing).

Since I know their will be quite a few that disagree with me on this, I'd also like to share a link to another article on this. This article gives a more in-depth look at this practice.

Just To Say

This is a little bit of a personal post for me. But since it's in the Bible, it's alright. I'd like to share something and here's why :

James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

This post is so I can confess one of my faults so that everyone can pray for me on this. I have a problem, sometimes, on waiting for God's blessings to "come". I've been working on it, and I've been doing better with it but I would like to ask for prayers from whoever reads this so that I can do better with this fault.

Thank you. :)

All honor and glory to the Lord
